It was the vision of Tim Smit to showcase to the world. The biomes rise from an old clay pit near St  Austell originally opened in 2001

The biomes house worldwide important plants and has been educating millions of visitors since it first opened. Explore the areas – rain forest and Mediterranean biomes – together with the zipping fun sky wire – England’s longest zip wire.

The world pasty championships is held here every year, together with music and cultural event s.
